Once upon a time, in a city in what was then West Germany, four men came together to form a band whose space-age sounds and highly-conceptual visual approach, as the cliché goes, changed the world forever. Fast-forward to today, and with one of those original four members having recently departed for the great synthesizer rig in the sky, it seemed the right time to show our respect by releasing a new album of 100% live improvised electronic-based tracks, with titles that both parody some of that band’s best-known pieces as well as nod in the direction of the state of the world in 2020. And with BolcsóMayne now expanded to BolcsóMayneKitzinger by the addition of Glowing Bulbs visual artist Gábor Kitzinger, these pieces, recorded at concerts given at the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 BC (Before Coronavirus), while far removed from the smooth grooves of the original Man Machine, were created set against Kitzinger's also purely-improvised visual backdrop, in a manner which we hope would have garnered the appreciation of the ‘Electronic Beatles’ themselves. Improv non-stop, as Herr Hütter et al might have said once...
